Radio dictation as a symbol of the national unity
Yesterday, on the day of Ukrainian written language, students of Sviatoshyn gymnasium joined all the Ukrainians who were writing the radio dictation of national unity. Everyone could write this dictation - from kids to senior people, from students to the government workers. Even the ambassador of Canada confirmed his participation.
Our students were on the same page with thousands of Ukrainians! Photos are included. Together with Inna Darahan, the teacher of Ukrainian language and literature, students of the 8-th, 9-th, 10-th and 11-th grades wrote the dictation.
We were proud and happy to join this event!
- ABOUT THE DAY OF UKRAINIAN WRITTEN LANGUAGE
The day of Ukrainian written language is a holiday, founded in honor of the chronicler Nestor, who was the follower of the famous Kyrylo and Mefodii - the creators of the Ukrainian written language.
Nowadays Ukrainian scientists think that Nestor became the creator of the Ukrainian written language.
Starting from 2000, on the day of Ukrainian written language the Ukrainian radio dictation of national unity is held on the radio all over the country.
